My Mom has visited Guang Zhou several times. But this is my first visit to Guang Zhou.
We went there on 24-29 of August 2010, in my holiday. We had a 5 hours flight. Hoaa!!!
In Guang Zhou, we stayed a Guang Zhou University Hotel. It is near the Guang Zhou University for master degree.
This is some sight from our room.
The traffic in Guang Zhou is not as good as in Singapore. You can get a taxi anywhere you want. The local people use bicycle.
And of course they don’t have bajaj, but they have other 3-wheel ride.
But mostly we take a taxi to go.
Like Singapore, a taxi can only carry 4 passangers, and this is a picture inside the taxi.. weird!
And we also walked a lot there.
Many delicious food there, but some are not. Mostly we had La Zhang:
And dimsum! Where you no need to wait for the Hakau, coz there’re lots of Hakau!
There’s also a lot of KFC, McDonald
And Pizza Hut.
I ate the McDonald. It’s very expensive there!
Beijing Lu is a modern shopping road.
And there’s a 2-story Giordano there. the price is much lower than in Jakarta or Singapore! Plus my cousin has it’s member card discount! Plus the discount they gave! Nice!
Near beijing lu there is bee cheng hiang, cheaper than other countries’ and PLUS my Mom’s member card – get 10% discount!
Red Wine + Bag Factory
On Friday, we were invited to go to a bag factory. They picked us with this kind of BMW. Nice!
Before that, we had a dinner in a very Chinese restaurant with the owner of the factory. We had seafood. One day before, I was asking my mom whether there’s crab here, and thanks GOD, we had crab in the restaurant! We had fish, lobster, shell, snail, a same kind of snail like seafood in Jakarta, but it tasted very different. And the Chinese drink wine.
The factory owner brought 2 bottles of red wine, my cousin told her that we, Indonesian, don’t drink wine. But thanks GOD the waitress pour some wine to each of our glass, and we cheers, like in the movie. Lol. Red wine is great. It’s only 12% of Alcohol. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photograph.
Catholic Church in Guang Zhou is very developed, just like other non-communist countries.
On Saturday evening, we went to the Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus in Yi De Lu. It’s very big and it’s gothic! We had a Chinese Mass. Of course I didn’t understand what the Priest said, but I had read the reading in that week. It was really hard to find a taxi on Saturday night. So we took a illegal public transportation. Yes, some of them offered ride with their private car, not a very good private car of course. Some kind like this car.
The church is very big! It’s gothic and it’s really cool! Unfortunately we went there after the sun sets, so I couldn’t take good photo. But if you come in the day, you might see it like this.
Inside the church is really like hogwarts.
They have a great choir. They don’t queue during communion, but anyone can go first or later.
Oh, I almost forget. We went to Carrefour there. Lol. Very big and crowded Carrefour.
and this is a big moon cake was showed in Carrefour.
core : business
Some shopping center in Guangzhou have this kind of door
and we shop bag in this kind of shopping center
People buy fashion bags in Bai Yun, and buy fashion clothes in Bai Ma or Hui Mei.
And on Sunday we went back to Jakarta. This is Bai Yun Airport.
And I took some photos in front of the Asean Games count down in GuangZhou
and also in front of Shanghai Expo’s mascot.
And we flew back to CKG. Thanks GOD.
